Ashley Logan, soprano, most recently appeared as The Concert Singer in The Last Savage at the Santa Fe Opera for their 2011 season. For The Santa Fe Opera Ashley has sung Melody in the Spring Tour production of Words and Music (2011), Adina in the Spring Tour production of Elixir of Love (2009), and covered First Lady in their 2010 production of The Magic Flute. Past Seasons include, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro with Ashlawn Opera, Susannah in Susannah, Suzanne Michaud in Tobias Picker’s Thérèse Rauquin, and Despina in Così fan tutte all at Boston University Opera. As a soprano soloist, Ashley has performed Handel’s Messiah with Trinity Church in Boston, John Harbison’s Chorale Cantata with Emmanuel Music under the direction of the composer and most recently Mahler’s 4th Symphony.

As a Tanglewood Vocal Fellow in 2008, Ashley sang the role of Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music with the Boston Pops performing both at Symphony Hall and at the Tanglewood Festival. Ms. Logan has participated in San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program where she sang scenes from Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra) Hansel and Gretel (Gretel) and Street Scene (Rose).

Ashley first sang the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Theater and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy. She graduated from University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music (CCM) with her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Voice with a concentration in Dramatic Performance. Ashley graduated from Princeton Day School in 2000 as the school’s first Frank Jacobson Music Scholar.

Ashley was awarded the Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Angelo A. Saritelli Memorial Award in 2010. As a finalist in 2008′s Lotte Lenya Competition, a semi-finalist in the American Traditions Competition at the Savannah Music Festival and a semi-finalist in the 2007 McCollum Voice Competition, Ashley lives in Boston, MA and studies voice with Penelope Bitzas.
